My grandmother, a professional seamstress who designed and sewed show gowns for famous stars during the 50s and 60s, taught me how to sew when I was just a young girl. Since that time, I've enjoyed using my sewing skills to create clothes and purses for family and friends, decor for the home and various decorative crafts.
I started quilting in 2005, which has presented me with new and exciting ways to display fabric and thread...the possibilities are endless! I love learning and working with the many different aspects of quilting, including the design of pantograph patterns, using lots of movement to give quilts a unique look.
I am passionate about my work as a teacher, designer and long arm quilter. I simply can't think of anything I'd rather do! The most rewarding part of my work is seeing the look of excitement and satisfaction on the faces of my customers, whether I'm finishing their quilt or teaching them how to quilt for themselves. I thank God for my husband, children, and grandchildren as well as the people who have given me the opportunity to serve them.
